Working with Nadia Marshall has honestly been one of the absolute highlights of joining the team at Dartmouth Park. She’s the voice behind our complex, layered heroine Jaycee Grayson — and what she brought to the role was just incredible. Intelligence, warmth, humor, sass, and so much heart. Jaycee isn’t an easy character to play — she’s sharp, sarcastic, deeply emotional, and somehow still totally lovable — and Nadia managed to strike the perfect balance. It would’ve been easy for the character to tip too far in one direction, but Nadia just got her. She made Jaycee someone you wanted to follow, someone you genuinely cared about.
When we were casting, Jaycee was our main focus — but what we didn’t fully realize at the time was how vital the entire ensemble would be, especially in an audiobook where every voice matters. Nadia ended up voicing dozens of characters — all with clarity, nuance, and emotional depth. Her ability to differentiate between characters of different ages, backgrounds, and accents was amazing. It brought the story to life in a way that was immersive and completely engaging. We had other actresses ask how many male roles — because they can be a challenge, but honestly, Nadia nailed of them all too.
Oh, and on top of all that? She sings. Beautifully. Our book features two original songs, and Nadia’s musical performances added such a rich, emotional layer to the production. She sings with the same ease and expressiveness she brings to her acting.
From a practical standpoint, she’s an absolute pro. Easy to work with, takes direction really well, incredibly responsive, and turned around revisions faster than we could have hoped for.

Nadia Marshall is a talented voice actor and a true professional. It was a delight to work with her! I hired her to narrate the audiobook version of my novel Strawberry Fields, a young adult thriller set in Prague in 1968, and I’m so glad she was available for the project. Nadia delivered chapters as she finished them and I listened as they came in. I then emailed her with any changes I wanted her to make (always few in number) and she addressed them promptly, making the process smooth, efficient, and painless. As a trained singer, she has an ear for the sound of language, and I believe it made her narration richer. She imbued the text with just the right amount of drama, mystery, and suspense. She captured the personalities of characters in ways that made each one feel distinct and alive, giving them voices that surprised me in how well they matched and even went beyond my own understanding. My text demanded a good ear as well for the large number of non-English words, which I wanted pronounced correctly for the audiobook. Nadia pulled off the challenge with flying colors, researching and pronouncing the words accurately and with aplomb. I highly recommend Nadia!
